This Book was Planned for the First Nation teachers as
they teach First Nation History. This book has taken years
to complete.
It is a small Frontier that will hopefully lead someday to “us
teaching ourselves.”
Many books have been written by First Nations Authors admonishing such a task. The last few years
the Powers that be (Indian Act) have allowed teachers uncertified to walk into a classroom and perform
classroom management that should have been learned in college. These courageous people have had
the burden to pass on the language and culture of their people in a classroom setting……
More Gitksan teachers need to rise up and start teaching their own people.
It contains a lifetime of Judith P. Morgan’s native life experience’s and her artist talents convey how
wonderful life a Gitksan People lived and survived on the Skeena River and Skeena Mountains and the
Fishing Cannery’s.
